Entries for Amatuer race now open!

Following on from the successful first running of the Amateur event at the British GP last year, it is set to return this year.
As part of the Festival of MX Event at Matterley Basin, Youthstream are again planning to give amateur riders the possibility to compete on the same track as the European and World Championship riders.
Youthstream have cleared space and time to give as many riders as possible this unique opportunity, but spaces will be limited and issued on a first come, first served basis.
Riders can arrive at the Paddock entrance at Matterley from Tuesday 20/08/2013, with Technical Control taking place on 21/08/2013
Practice (20 minutes) and Qualifying Race (15min. + 2 laps) will be taking place on 22/08/2013. The 40 best riders will then take part in a Warm-up (15 min.) and a Superfinal (15min. + 2 laps) on Friday 23/08/2013. The exact race format will be finalised according to the number of participants entered.

Looking for Marshals for the GP Festival

We are looking for enthusiastic, motocross loving volunteers to help us out with marshalling at the 2013 GP Festival. We need people who can work at least 2 out of the 4 days (any days they choose) who are committed and looking to be a part of the ever growing event.
Benefits include:
* Free entry for all four days (must work at least two of the four)
* Free entry for a guest, including paddock access and camping!
* Free event T shirt and programme
* Lunch and drinks provided on the days worked
* The best seats in the house!
Experience of track marshalling preferred but not necessary if you can arrive wednesday afternoon to take part in a training session.
Please note that this is on a voluntary basis with the majority of our marshals working for the love of the sport in a highly enjoyable working environment.

After hosting another successful event in 2012, the Brit MX GP is evolving, with 11 classes spanning four days of thrilling racing, the 2013 MX GP FESTIVAL is sure to be one to remember.
This year the festival at the award winning track sees the penultimate round of the FIM World Championship series and the final rounds of many of the other series running alongside. As we saw in 2012, the winner is often revealed during the second to last round, so Matterley should be action packed from the start til the very end. It's a no-brainer!
